   Dr. Cong got a Bachelor of Medicine degree from Peking University in 2007 and a Doctor of Medicine degree in Pathophysiology from the School of Basic Medicine, Peking University in 2012, and worked as a Post-doctor at the Institute of Neuroscience at Peking University from 2012 to 2014. Dr. Cong has published 24 SCI papers as first or corresponding authors (including co-first or co-corresponding authors), such as European Heart Journal, Hypertension, International Journal of Oral Science, Journal of Dental Research, and Arthritis & Rheumatology, including one paper published with editorial, one paper selected as cover story, and one paper recommended by F1000. Dr. Cong has also been awarded 6 grants as the principal investigator and participated in one major project of the NSFC project as the key member, and won the Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), the second prize of the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award (5/17), and the first prize of the Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award (5/15). Dr. Cong has received many academic awards such as the first prize for oral presentation of outstanding youth papers at the 2016 International Physiology Congress, the second prize for outstanding papers at the 10th National Congress of the Chinese Society of Pathology and Physiology, the third prize for outstanding youth physiology academic papers at the 12th National Youth Physiology Academic Paper Foundation of the Chinese Society of Physiology, and the first prize for excellent papers at the 2015 National Salivary Gland Disease Academic Symposium. Dr. Cong has obtained one Chinese invention patent and two utility model patents. Currently, Dr. Cong is the Vice Chairman of the Teaching Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Pathophysiology, a member of the Integrated Physiology Professional Committee of the Chinese Association for Physiological Sciences, a member of the 13th Board of Directors of the Beijing Association for Physiological Sciences, and an editorial board member of the Acta Physiologica Sinica.
