Lemin Zheng, Deputy Director of the Cardiovascular Research Institute of Peking University, Boya Distinguished Professor, Member of the Party Committee of the School of Basic Medical Sciences Peking University, and assistant dean of the State Key Laboratory of Vascular Homeostasis and Remodeling.

   The Lemin lab has discovered several new metabolic risk factors for cardiovascular diseases such as succinic acid and new active gut microbiota metabolites such as TMAVA and their mechanisms of action, and has innovatively constructed metabolic probes and nano probes to achieve in vivo imaging related to cardiovascular metabolism to assist in diagnosis.

   Lemin Zheng has published a total of 131 SCI articles, of which 98 are SCI responsible authors. In the past five years, his achievements have been published in internationally renowned journals such as Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy，Advanced Functional Materials，Neuron，Cell Metabolism，Nature Communications，European Heart Journal，Advanced Material，Gastroenterology, etc. He has received the Ten Thousand People Plan, the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars, the national support plans for the top of the notch youth talents, the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University of Ministry of Education, and others, and serves as the project leader of the Ministry of Science and Technology's major special projects and the project leader of Beijing's key fund projects. As the first author, he won the first prize of the Beijing Medical Science and Technology Award in 2022 and the second prize of the Beijing Natural Science Award in 2022.
