
Professor Jing Nie is a Boya Chair Professor at Peking University. She earned her Ph.D. from Kochi University, Japan, in 1999, followed by a five-year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto, Canada. Since 2005, Dr. Nie has held faculty positions in nephrology at Sun Yat-Sen University, Southern Medical University, and Peking University.
Dr. Nie'sresearch primarily focuses on the pathogenesis of chronic and acute kidney diseases, with specific interests in risk factors, mechanisms of renal intrinsic cell injury, and the development of lead compounds with anti-fibrotic properties. To date, Dr. Nie has published over 90 papers in leading peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Hematology & Oncology, Cell Death & Differentiation, eBioMedicine, and Kidney International.
She has been awarded numerous prestigious research grants, including the National Outstanding Young Scientist Fund and the Key Project Fund from the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
