    Dr Baoxue Yang obtained his doctoral degree from Norman Bethune University of Medical Sciences in 1993 and completed his postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in 1997. Formerly served as an assistant researcher at UCSF Cardiovascular Institute, an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, vice dean of School of Basic Medical Sciences, Peking University and chair of the Department of Pharmacology.

    Currently serving as a professor in the Department of Pharmacology at School of Basic Medical Sciences, Peking University, director of the Center for New Drug Research and Development at Peking University, deputy director of the Medical and Health Industry Innovation Center (Taizhou), and PI of State Key Laboratory of Vascular Homeostasis and Remodeling. He also serves as an executive director of the Chinese Pharmacological Society, chairman of the Biochemical and Molecular Pharmacology Professional Committee, vice chairman of the Beijing Pharmacological Society, chairman of the Lingzhi Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, editor in chief of China Pharmacological Communication, deputy editor in chief of Basic & Clinical Pharmacology & Toxicology, CDE review expert, major special project review expert of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and review expert of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

    The research field is renal pharmacology and new drug development. Has undertaken projects funded by the National Institutes of Health, PKD, and AHA in the United States, as well as projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (key projects, key international cooperative research projects, NSFC/RGC joint research fund projects, and general projects). I have published 176 SCI papers with an H-factor of 52, and have been selected as a highly cited scholar by Elsevier China for 10 consecutive years (2014-2023). Obtained 14 authorized patents. Editor in chief of textbooks and monographs such as Pharmacology, Renal Pharmacology, Practical Clinical Pharmacology, Diuretics, Urea Transporters, Aquaporins, Ganderma and Health, Pharmacology and Clinical Practice of Ganoderma lucidum.
