
Yiting Jia is an associate researcher and doctoral supervisor in the Department of Pharmacology, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Peking University. He earned his Ph.D. from Peking University Health Science Center (eight-year program) and stayed on for post-doctoral training in the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology. Currently, he is a tenure-track assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacology, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Peking University Health Science Center. In the past five years, he has conducted target research and drug discovery focusing on metabolic reprogramming and lysosomal homeostasis imbalance in the pathogenesis of vascular diseases (such as atherosclerosis, restenosis, aneurysms, and vascular calcification). He has hosted several National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) grants, including General Program and Youth Program projects. In the past five years, he has published 17 SCI papers, with his work as the first author (including co-first author) and corresponding author (including co-corresponding author) appearing in authoritative cardiovascular journals such as Circulation, Circ Res, Cell Discov, and ATVB. He has received the First Prize of the 17th Zhang Xijun Fund National Excellent Young Physiologist Award (sole recipient) and the First Prize of Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. Currently, he serves as a review expert for academic journals such as Adv Sci, Acta Pharm Sin B, Cell Rep, and Am J Physiol Cell Physiol etc. He is also a member of the Vascular Pharmacology Professional Committee of the Chinese Pharmacological Society, a young member of the Biochemistry and Pharmacology Professional Committee as well as the Teaching and Popularization Professional Committee. Besides, he is a member of the Ion Channels and Receptors Branch of the Chinese Neuroscience Society. His research direction is cardiovascular pharmacology.
