
Dr. Zhifei Dai is a Boya Distinguished Professor of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, School of Future Technology, Peking University, an adjunct professor of the National Biomedical Imaging Center, a National Outstanding Young Scholar, an associate editor of Bioconjugate Chemistry, a council member of China Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Association, a founding chairman of Biomedical Imaging Technology Branch of China Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Association.
As the Principal Investigator, he has chaired 13 national scientific research projects, such as the National Key R&D Program, the National 863 Program, the National Major Scientific Research Instrument Development Project, the Key Project and the Key International Cooperation Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China.
He has won 2 first prizes of provincial natural science awards, 1 Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award, 1 BOE Teaching Award, and 1 Procter & Gamble Teacher Award.
Representative achievements
1. Developed lipid microbubble ultrasound contrast agent (phase III clinical trial completed).
2. Developed Near-infrared fluorescence/photoacoustic contrast agent (NMPA clinical trial approval Obtained).
3. Developed an intelligent sonodynamic therapy device.
4. Established Ultrasound-guided gene therapy technology to selectively deliver nucleic acids to different organs in the body, which is expected to transform the gene therapy paradigm.
