Yaohua Zhang

        Dr. Yaohua Zhang, a professor at Peking University Third Hospital, holds the position of Principal Investigator (PI) for the National Key Laboratory of Vascular Homeostasis and Remodeling. Before this, he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and the renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center in the United States. Acknowledged for his exceptional contributions, Dr. Zhang was honored with the 2022 Beijing Overseas High-level Talents Youth Program and received funding from the Science Fund Program for Excellent Young Scientists (Overseas) in the same year. His research endeavors primarily delve into the mechanisms behind post-translational protein modifications in cardiovascular diseases, leveraging multi-omics technology. His ultimate aim is to establish biomarkers for disease scoring and stratification, thereby enhancing the accuracy of diagnosis and precision in intervention strategies. In the past five years, he has led or contributed significantly to numerous highly influential academic publications in esteemed international journals such as Science, Nature Cell Biology, Circulation, and Science Translational Medicine, collectively achieving a cumulative impact factor surpassing 200.
